What HumanizeIt does

HumanizeIt is a Chrome extension that rewrites AI-generated text to sound more natural. When you click "Humanize", the selected text is sent to our backend server, which forwards it to a third-party AI model for rewriting. The rewritten text is returned to you.

Data we collect

• Email address — collected when you sign in, used for authentication and to manage your subscription.
• Usage count — we track how many rewrites you have used to enforce plan limits.

Data we do NOT collect

• Browsing history
• Page content (other than text you explicitly select and submit)
• Cookies or tracking pixels
• Analytics or telemetry data
• Personal information beyond your email
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details

Third-party services

• AI model provider — your submitted text is sent to a third-party AI model for rewriting. The text is processed and not stored by the provider beyond what is needed to complete the request.
• Supabase — used for authentication and storing your account data (email, usage count, subscription status).
• Stripe — used for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment data.

Data storage and security

Your account data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Communication between the extension, our backend, and third-party services is encrypted via HTTPS. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any party other than the services listed above.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon request, we will remove your data from our systems.
